Royal Botanical Gardens
The sun was shining! Finally! Now that I had my feet planted on the ground the sun was out. Therefore, I took the opportunity to hit up the gardens right downtown on the harbor. It was a gorgeous day and I have loads of pictures.
I was on the phone with Wags for part of my walk and she can vouge that:
1. I saw a couple of cockatoos that were cute. Then 2 dove for my head and I screamed. I then looked up in the trees and noticed that there were over 30 of them in there. I freaked out and ran like a chicken. My gram would have freaked!
2. No more cockatoos but BATS! There are over 22,000 bats that live in the gardens and kill hundreds of trees a year. They are flying foxes from hell. They are loud, ugly, furry and huge. (Uncle you would have loved this.) Take a look at them sleeping up in the trees. GROSS! I ran from those too. Ask Ann.
3. Gorgeous flowers, green pathways and the harbor. Take a look at some of these shots.
Seven, Ashley, and Jenn: Are you proud of my photos? Not too shabby for the point and shoot eh?
Here are som pics of the garden with the city, bridge, and opera house in the background.
Gorgeous! I live here!
